The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Adedokun as the Rector of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
In the same vein, Mrs. Abosede Akintunde has been appointed as the Registrar, while Mrs. Sekinat Adejuwon, has been named the Bursar of the institution.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Honourable Olusegun Olayiwola, disclosed this on Tuesday in his office while receiving the approval letter from Governor Makinde.
Hon. Olayiwola, explained that the appointment of the three principal officers followed due process, noting that the exercise commenced with a public advertisement in national newspapers and was followed by a series of interviews conducted by the Governing Council of the institution, chaired by Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi.
According to the Commissioner, the Governing Council’s report was subsequently submitted to his office, upon which he made recommendations to the Governor.
These recommendations culminated in the final approval and appointment by the Governor.
While congratulating the newly appointed officers, Honourable Olayiwola stated that their appointments take effect from December 15, 2025, and are for a single tenure of five years.
