The Oyo State Speaker, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin has extended warm congratulations to Oba Abimbola Hakeem Owoade, the 46th Aláàfin Ọ̀yọ́, on his coronation.
The Speaker congratulated the new Alaafin shortly after attending the coronation ceremony for the monarch held in the ancient town of Oyo.
”I would like to earnestly congratulate the new Alaafin whose selection no doubt had been ordained by God and approved and embraced by his people, and I wish him a successful and fulfilling reign. The coronation of Oba Abimbola Hakeem Owoade as the 46th Aláàfin of Ọ̀yọ́ marks a significant milestone in the history of the ancient city.
”As the spiritual leader of the Yoruba kingdom, the Aláàfin plays a vital role in promoting cultural heritage and unity among the people.

According to the Speaker, the significant turnout of residents from the ancient town of Oyo and the roll call of dignitaries at the coronation ceremony underscore the widespread acceptance and appreciation of Oba Owoade among his people.
