Oyo State Government on Sunday commenced re-verification of house and landowners/claimants affected by the acquisition of lands on the first segment of Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road.
The affected owners/claimant of houses and lands from Alago to Ajota area, gathered in their numbers at Islamic High School, Basorun, Orita Basorun, Ibadan.

Addressing them, Chairman, Monitoring team on the payment of compensation to land owners/claimants affected, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), revealed that the exercise would guide government on the payment of compensation to the affected people.
CP Odukoya (rtd) enjoined them to be faithful and cooperate with the monitoring team.

Also speaking, state Commissioner for culture and tourism, chief Wasiu Olatunbosun, who is member of the monitoring team, said the exercise is free, insisting that none of the affected persons should engage services of third party.
Speaking with newsmen, cross section of the house and landowners/claimants, appreciated the modality of the verification and expressed optimism that their efforts would not been in vain.
They confirmed that necessary documents were verified to ascertain their claim of the properties.

3000 affected house and landowners would be verified during the exercise which will end on Saturday.
Governor Seyi Makinde, had earlier directed the monitoring team to attend to every affected person with genuine documents in order to take away their pain and agony of losing their property to Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road project.
