Dealer Crashes Oyo State Properties, Blames Road

A Toyota Camry bearing the identity of Fathia Motors, a member of the Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON), crashed into Oyo State Government properties near Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital, Yemetu, Ibadan.

Eyewitness hinted that at approximately 11 pm, on Sunday night, the vehicle lost control and struck the newly constructed median and a streetlight installed by Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.

The car then veered off and rammed into a building housing the office of Baale Agbe in council, Oyo State.

According to eyewitness, the driver, who was identified as Ronaldo, attributed the incident to the poor condition of the road, currently under upgrade.

Adding that though neither calamity nor injury was recorded, but Ronaldo, his colleagues, and friends offers bribe in the attempted to settle the matter amicably with affected parties.

However, their efforts were thwarted by one Gabriel, an agent monitoring the generator powering the streetlights, and Baale Agbe, who declined the bribe and contacted the Nigeria Police Force, Yemetu Divisional Headquarters.

In their narrations, officers arrived at 12:46 am, and Investigative Police Officer Olabisi Balogun, inspected the scene.

She subsequently contacted Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) to tow the vehicle.

Eyewitness says the vehicle was evacuated in the presence of IPO Balogun and Amotekun corps personnel and taken to Yemetu Divisional Headquarters.
