Oyo Govt To Investigate Collapsed Building In Ibadan

In order to prevent reoccurrence of building collapse, Oyo State government has assured people of the state that it would would investigate circumstances surrounding a recent building collapse at Jegede Olunloyo area of Ibadan.

Governor Seyi Makinde in statement by his special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, to mourn the deaths of victims of the building collapse.

Governor Makinde while describing the incident as an avoidable tragedy, prayed God to console the families of the deceased, and assured that the state government would forestall further building collapse in the state.

Governor in the statement also commiserated with the PDP families in Oyo Federal Constituency and Akinyele Local Government over the deaths of PDP chieftains, Honourable Babatunde Eesuola and Mr. Taoreed Adedigba, who passed away during brief illnesses.

Honourable Eesuola was a former House of Assembly member and former chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency, while Adedigba was the immediate past chairman of Akinyele Local Government.
