As Residents of the Pacesetter State joins the rest of the world to celebrate the commencement of New Year 2025, the Oyo State House of Assembly has reassured members of the Public of its legislative commitment in tackling any unforeseen barriers that may want to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere, paving ways for development of every sectors in the State.
This was contained in a Congratulatory message to felicitate citizens of Oyo State on the new year 2025 celebration.
The message signed by the Chairman, Committee on Information, Media, Public Affairs and ICT, 10th Oyo Assembly, Honourable Waheed Akintayo, urged people in the State to look forward to 2025 with great hope and expectations of overall development, expansion and positive turnaround in all sectors.
The Chairman, noted that it is essential for all and sundry to be committed, hopeful and optimistic of greater achievements in the new year as planned in agenda of Omituntun 2.0 initiatives of Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
“This year, let us be purposeful in our actions, abide in faith, trust and love towards God and State, and eschew all negative tendencies and sentiment that would diminish our collective fortunes of unity, peace, progress and stability. Let us ensure that our dear State remain oasis of peace and tranquility”. the Statement added
Hon. Akintayo declared that the 10th Assembly in Oyo State in its legislative Agenda has resolved to work for the masses by enacting legislations that will serve the generality of the people of Oyo State.
“We are determined to build a State where every residents feels the impact of Government policies through adequate Law making, ammendments and other legislative activities”.
“Your representatives in the Assembly since their inauguration Eighteen months ago have devoted themselves in facilitating good governance and stimulating the economy to raise the standard of living of people in the State”.
“Let us Continue to Coexist harmoniously as we enter a more productive, brighter and prosperous year”.
“On behalf of my Colleagues in the 10th Oyo Assembly, I congratulate and wishing you a prosperous New year 2025” The Statement concluded.
