Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC’s duo, Monday Gideon and Akpan Joshua finally opened their goal account in the 2024/25 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League(NFPL).
Both players hit the target to help 3SC otherwise known as Oluyole Soccer Warlords beat Akwa United in Sunday’s Matchday nine fixture held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Gideon scored five goals and provided two assists in last season’s campaign.
For Joshua, Sunday’s strike brought to an end, a long time goal drought, having failed to find the back of the net throughout last season.
The former Abia Comets star provided two assists last season.
Their goals helped Shooting Stars to secured first consecutive winning of the season, having beaten Katsina United by a lone goal on Matchday 8 of NPFL.
