Tunisia Football Blames Nigeria Referee For Loss To Comoros

The Tunisia Football Federation, has alleged Nigeria referee Peter Ogabor, that he overlooked a well-deserved penalty in the encounter against Comoros.

Ogabor was in charge of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Tunisia and Comoros.

Meaning that the Tunisia FA is planing to drag the Nigeria referee, Ogabor to the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

In the game played on Friday in Rades, the home turf of the North African country, Comoros shocked the Carthage Eagles with a lone goal.

 

Comoros, a tiny island nation off the south-east coast of Africa, was known for causing upsets, most notably when beating Ghana to reach second round at the 2022 AFCON.

The Islanders again succeeding away to former champions Tunisia, who are ranked fifth in Africa, and 82 places above them in the world.

Thanks to Rafiki Said, who scored midway through the second half to lift Comoros to second in Group A, a point behind Tunisia.

Reports had it that Tunisia FA has concluded plans to take the matter to the African governing body for review and possible punishment.

Meanwhile, lack of a international-standard stadium in Moroni means the Comorans would host Tunisia in matchday 4 on Tuesday in Abidjan, the Ivorian commercial capital.
