Kwankwaso Visits Makinde, Opens NNPP Ibadan Office

National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has met with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde as part of efforts to boost the party’s presence ahead of the 2027 general election.

During the meeting at the Secretariat in Ibadan, Kwankwaso, who was accompanied by NNPP officials, emphasized his long-standing relationship with Governor Makinde, saying it goes beyond party politics.

“We are here on the invitation of our party chairman, the chairman of NNPP here in Oyo State, to go and open our office here in Ibadan and also discuss some important issues that relate to our party here in Oyo State. But the governor has always been our friend” he says.

Kwankwaso who downplayed party politics in the meeting, reminisced about his long-standing involvement with People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he served in various capacities before joining All Progressives Congress APC and eventually NNPP.

The former Governor of Kano state, revealed that the visit was to open a new NNPP office in Ibadan, strengthening the party’s structures and unity in the region.
