Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan have announced immediate departure of their entire senior technical team, bringing an end to the tenures of Head Coach Nurudeen Aweroro, Team Manager Tammy Tamuno and Assistant Coach Shakiru Lawal.
In a club statement released by the club management, the Oluyole Warriors said the decision was reached by mutual agreement following discussions between the club and the affected members of staff.
The club said the separation was amicable.
Shooting Stars paid tribute to the trio for their service, highlighting their role in guiding the team to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
That result secured the club a ticket to represent Nigeria in a CAF inter-club competition next season.
“We appreciate Nurudeen Aweroro, Tammy Tamuno and Shakiru Lawal for their commitment, professionalism and contributions to the Club during their respective periods of service.
We thank them immensely for their service and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours and continued success in their careers” the statement read.
The club did not give specific reasons for the change, but noted that both parties agreed to part ways.
With the top positions now vacant, Shooting Stars said the remaining Assistant Coaches have been directed to take charge of the Technical Department on an interim basis.
The management added that it will announce the appointment of a substantive Head Coach in due course and will communicate further developments to supporters and stakeholders.
The coaching shake-up comes at a key period for the club as preparations begin for both the new NPFL campaign and continental football, where Shooting Stars will be aiming to improve on their domestic form on the African stage.
